There are two types of fan site on the internet: official and unofficial.

• Official sites are endorsed and usually run by the celebrity's own management. These sites are usually of high quality, and contain information that has been approved by the celebrity
• Unofficial sites can be of a poorer standard than official sites, but they can be good for a different perspective on the celebrity.
