Apple Price Cut
Thursday 10th January 2008 Apple have announced plans to cut the price it charges to download singles in the UK to bring the price more into line with that currently paid by the rest of Europe.
The price changes, which will come into effect within 6 months, will see the current price of 79p fall to better match the current price of 99 cents (74p) that Europeans currently pay.
Apple has been forced to address the issue after the consumer group Which? logged a complaint with the European Union on their current pricing polices.
The price fall will still see prices for downloads higher in Europe than in the US where prices for downloads are currently only 99 cents (50p).
