Changing Supplier
If you do decide to change there are a number of important points to consider such as:
- Shop around as the first quote isn’t always likely to be the best.
- Remember there are no charges for changing supplier.
- You can change your supplier even if you are on a prepay meter.
- Contact your new supplier and arrange a new contract with them.
- Give your current supplier 28 days notice, via phone and post.
- Pay any outstanding bills - if you don’t you may be prevented from switching.
- Take a meter reading on the day you change supplier.
