Visa has experienced a hitch with its cards this week leading to a number of payments being declined unnecessarily. Visa, a London based firm first became aware of the problem early on Friday 13 th April when they received numerous calls from customers reporting the fault.
The Nordic countries and Central Europe have been flagged by Visa as the most affected areas yet there have been reports of declined payments in the UK too. Due to the back-up system in place however Visa has assured customers in the UK that the problem will be rectified as soon as possible.
Visa are working hard to fix the glitch as quickly as they can but as yet are unable to put a figure on the number of transactions that have been affected.
