Gaining Interest Due to Lack of Interest?
Wednesday 26th April 2007 The Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS) have published figures this week showing that 47% of credit card users fail to check their statements carefully which could be leading to customers paying needless interest charges. The survey results also show that 4% of adults fail to read their statements at all.
Due to results of the survey APACS launched their new credit card statement advice guide "Understanding Your Credit Card Statement". Available from 13th April 2007this guide aims to help consumers understand the common features and terms used on most credit card statements.
As well as making sense of your statement the guide also aims to help consumers understand why checking statements is important and can provide help and advice to customers who are having trouble repaying their debt. A copy of the guide is available free of charge from the APACS Website.
