Half A Bottle Of Wine Anyone?!

The British Medical Journal has published a report this week which suggests that

The deputy editor of the medical journal has issued a statement this week asserting that more choices should be available in the wine aisle to encourage people to choose a smaller bottle.

As the binge drinking epidemic continues it has been suggested that many people over indulge on their nightly tipple in order to avoid waste. It has been suggested therefore that smaller bottles of wine should be made more available and carry a cheaper price in order to attract consumers.

Wine consumption counts for 28.8% of the total alcohol consumed in the UK and levels of wine drinking are thought to be highest in wealthier areas.

It is hoped that wine retailers will respond to the cry for smaller bottles and make them more available and cost effective for the consumer.
