Logo Plans For Online Pharmacies
Wednesday 2nd January 2008 Figures released by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPSGB) this week highlight that over two million people in the UK buy their drugs online and that up to a third of those purchased may be fake putting customers at risk.
In order to cut down the risk, the society have announced plans to launch a new logo which will be displayed on reputable sites – helping consumers to find safe drugs to purchase.
The society fears however that those purchasing drugs without a prescription will still visit the unregulated sites and are warning customers about the dangers of purchasing prescription drugs from unlicensed online vendors.
The new logo will be clearly visible on the homepage of reputable online pharmacies and shoppers will be able to click on the link to check the credentials of the store and their pharmaceutical team.
