Webber Plants Star

Andrew Llyod Webber has admitted to being part of a plan in which he and producers of the channel 4 drama Hollyoaks have teamed up to show the next star of the hit show The Sound of Music to TV audiences.

Summer Strallen has been playing Summer Shaw in the soap for the past 3 months and was cast as the replacement for Connie Fisher 6 months ago.

This week, Andrew Lloyd Webber has appeared in the soap and in a special episode this evening will give Summer the role in front of viewers.

Summer Strallen is 23 and has appeared in various west end productions in the past including Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Guys & Dolls. She is also the niece of performer Bonnie Langford.

Summer will open in the West End will be February 26th 2008.
