Very disappointed. Nowhere even close to the max 8Mb package. Tried every tweak and still rarely gets beyond 2Mb no matter what time of day or night.
Simply don't go there.

Tiscali 2MB Broadbad I upgraded to a Tiscal 2MB service from a 512K. After 3 months I found that Tiscali had downgraded my line to a 512K again without permission or informing me or refunding me. When I brought it to their attention they said that the exchange was unable to support 2MB as the equipment installed was not able to support 2MB. I pointed out that I had enjoyed a 2MB service for some months and then they started blaming BT. As a customer I feel that I am at the mercy of Tiscali and BT who both appear totally uninterested in resolving anything. I am still waiting for a refund on the service I am paying for but not receiving. What on earth is the point of OFTEL in all this as this whole industry seems to have nothing but self interest and poor service to offer the hapless customer.

when i can get on the web its not bad.its just getting on.it keeps on going off all the time which is very frustating to say the least.they have sent us the speed touch modem,but it still keeps going off

Do not even think about joining Tiscali. Once they get their claws into you, there is no escaping. I amongst many, have attempted to cancel my contract, but Tiscali are sadly slow in terminating my line. This means I'm stuck with Tiscali, still being billed and unable to move to another ISP as Tiscali are sitting on their backsides. Their Cancellations Team closes at 6pm (to make it awkward for customers) yet their Customer Service Team remain open until 8pm. The standard response is I have to wait another 10 -15 working days before my line can be terminated!!!
