Backpacking is one of the best ways to see the World, particularly if you are travelling on a budget.  Although living out of one bag for days, weeks or even months at a time isn’t everybody’s idea of a holiday, it is a worthwhile and fulfilling experience.

Staying in budget accommodation needn’t be uncomfortable as many hostels now offer warm showers, lockers to keep your things safe and soft beds. They also offer the opportunity to meet people from all over the World. Don’t be mistaken in thinking that backpacking is just for the young either; there is certainly no age limit on travelling in this manner! Contrary to popular belief, it is also no less safe than travelling in any other way. It is important to keep your wits about you however and to keep a close eye on your personal possessions.
